New Business Account Executive, UK
As a New Business Account Executive at GitLab, you'll play a key role in our growth. You'll focus on acquiring new customers and expanding our market presence. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and drive innovation.
About the Role
In this position, you will manage the full sales cycle from outreach to closing deals. You will work closely with C-level and senior technical buyers at high-growth companies. You will also collaborate with various teams to support customers as they adopt GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full new logo acquisition cycle from outreach to close for high-growth target accounts.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through consistent prospecting via phone, email, social media, and creative outreach.
- Conduct effective discovery meetings to identify business pain points and align GitLab’s value with executive priorities.
- Navigate complex sales cycles, engaging C-level executives and cross-functional buying committees.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans, including account segmentation and tailored engagement strategies.
- Partner with Solutions Architecture and Customer Success for technical evaluations and smooth post-sale handoffs.
- Apply GitLab’s sales methodologies to qualify pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting.
- Maintain Salesforce practices with detailed account notes and competitive insights.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in B2B SaaS sales focused on acquiring new customers.
- Proven success in building territories and generating pipeline in new accounts.
- Familiarity with consumption-based business models and ability to demonstrate value beyond traditional licensing.
- Strong discovery, qualification, and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities while staying organized.
- Proficiency with modern sales tools such as Salesforce, Clari, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Comfortable in a dynamic environment focused on learning and coaching.
- Open to candidates with diverse backgrounds and transferable skills.
Nice to Have
Experience in a startup environment or familiarity with AI-powered platforms is a plus.
