Partners Business Development Representative (BDR)

Join Customer.io as a Partners Business Development Representative (BDR) and help us grow our global partner network. You will play a key role in expanding our agency and technology partner ecosystem.

About the Role

Hi, I’m Chris, and I manage the EMEA Partnerships program at Customer.io. We are looking for someone to help us identify and engage new agencies, manage inbound partner interest, and reconnect with dormant partners. You will work closely with our Partnerships, Marketing, and Sales teams to drive a partner-sourced pipeline and boost attendance at partner events.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and engage agencies that fit our ideal customer profile.
  • Start conversations with agency founders and leaders.
  • Qualify inbound partner interest and assist strong-fit partners in moving forward.
  • Re-engage inactive partners to discover new collaboration opportunities.
  • Support and occasionally attend partner events alongside Marketing and Sales.
  • Contribute to partner-sourced pipeline goals and see the impact of your work on revenue.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or partnerships (SaaS experience is a plus).
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with agency founders and senior stakeholders.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, especially in writing.
  • Resilience; rejection does not deter you.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple conversations effectively.
  • Motivated by targets and measurable outcomes.
  • Curious about partner ecosystems and revenue generation.
  • Enjoy collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships.
  • Excited about growing into Partner Management or broader ecosystem roles over time.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a SaaS environment.

What We Offer

We believe in transparency. The On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role is $93,000 (or equivalent in local currency), depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

Our Process

We aim for a clear and friendly hiring process. Here’s what to expect:

  • 30-minute video call with a Recruiter.
  • 45-minute video call with the Hiring Manager.
  • Take Home Assignment.
  • Assignment Review Call with two Business Development Managers.
