Strategic Sales Executive at SailPoint

Join our sales team as a Strategic Sales Executive. In this role, you will manage a sales region, selling our leading Identity Management solutions to both end users and channel partners. Your expertise will help us build strong relationships and drive business growth.

About the Role

As a Strategic Sales Executive, you will be responsible for understanding client needs, developing business proposals, and closing sales. You'll work closely with senior decision-makers and partners to ensure our solutions meet their requirements. Your contributions will be vital to our team's success.

What You'll Do

  • Exceed revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Address unique inquiries from customers and partners, providing tailored solutions.
  • Develop business plans that align with geographic and business needs.
  • Engage with business partners when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute marketing plans with end users and partners.
  • Follow up on all leads and ensure internal systems are updated.
  • Lead technical resources to demonstrate SailPoint’s advantages to customers.
  • Work with post-sale account managers to ensure ongoing account coverage.
  • Understand and navigate all aspects of the sales cycle, from qualifying to closing.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of your territory, including customers, prospects, and competitors.
  • Communicate product and technological strategies employed by competitors.
  • Ensure high levels of customer and partner satisfaction within your accounts.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude aligned with the company's Core Values.
  • Coordinate sales support functions with Technical Sales staff.
  • Engage in conversations at all levels of a client's organization.
  • Utilize channel management and reporting tools effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in IT, business, or sales-related field.

What We Offer

  • Business travel of approximately 50 percent yearly is expected.
  • 7 years of Business to Business sales experience, with 3 years in Identity Management or Security Industries.
  • Proven results in a quota-oriented sales environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision makers.
  • Professionalism and personal integrity with strong communication skills.
